The need
The company needed to organize quality information, services and machine history, and make that information easy to consult throughout the operational process — from the moment a customer's machine arrives to what happens after it's delivered.
How the workflow is defined
The workflow design involves an internal operations lead, who brings the rules, exceptions and priorities of the process.
How the pieces relate in the scope
- 1
Incoming inspection
Inspecting and registering the customer's machine on arrival.
- 2
Service & maintenance
Recording the services performed against that machine.
- 3
Machine history
One history per machine, linked to its customer.
- 4
Guided assembly
Assembly guides and training inside the application.
- 5
After delivery
Records to support investigating and mitigating problems.
Stage visibility, responsible people, and incentives and recognition for operators are also part of the scope.
Project scope
As defined for the project:
- Incoming inspection of customers' machines and equipment
- Records of maintenance and services performed
- Machine history linked to each customer
- Visibility of process stages and who is responsible
- Information to investigate and mitigate problems after delivery
- Assembly guides and training inside the application
- Internal incentives and recognition for operators
This list describes scope. It is not a list of finished deliverables.
Integration
This page doesn't claim any connection to the company's other systems: none has been confirmed for publication.
Objectives
What the project is meant to improve. These are objectives, not measured results:
- Faster access to the full history of any machine
- Consistent inspection and service records
- Assembly guidance available to every operator, not only the most experienced
- Better information to investigate problems after delivery
About incentives and recognition
The scope includes internal incentives and recognition for operators. They are not presented as a productivity guarantee, nor as a substitute for quality controls.
